Service scope
vContact is a profile-sharing and contact-sync utility. It helps you publish your own profile and keep matched contacts updated on your device and on the devices of other users who sync with you.
These terms describe the current service scope in plain language. They are intentionally aligned with the product that exists today, not a broader future version.
vContact is a profile-sharing and contact-sync utility. It helps you publish your own profile and keep matched contacts updated on your device and on the devices of other users who sync with you.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the profile information you publish and for only using vContact with contact and profile data that you have the right to share.
When you start sync, vContact may update safe Google contacts on your device using matched profile data. vContact is intended to run automatically over time, so changes can be applied without asking you to review every sync.
If other users have your phone number and sync with vContact, your latest known profile information may appear in their phonebooks. Signing out or uninstalling later does not automatically remove those previously synced copies from their devices.
The service is provided on a best-effort basis. Network availability, Android contacts behavior, manufacturer customizations, and account-provider behavior can affect results.
Do not use vContact to impersonate others, distribute unlawful content, abuse contact data, or interfere with the service or other users' devices.
